The FedEx Ground distribution center is a 300,000-square-foot warehouse, which includes 12,000 SF of administrative space as well as a separate 5,000 SF vehicle maintenance facility and 2,100 SF gateway building. A 10-acre stormwater pond was designed and constructed for both stormwater management, and to generate fill to overcome the high natural groundwater elevation. All three structures use conventional steel frames with load bearing, precast concrete tilt-wall panels.
Working with the design/build team, Prosser | PRIME AE provided all site civil engineering and landscape services including final design and permitting. To accommodate the large number of employees, Prosser | PRIME AE successfully sought an administrative deviation to more than triple the amount of parking allowed by the city’s current code requirements.
